Hi there! Welcome to our tutorial on how to sew a super easy face mask!

If you found your way here to this DIY, chances are you are looking to make a face mask for yourself, someone you love, or donate to people in need. We are so glad you found us!

My 8-year old daughter and I had it on our hearts this week to do something! Our DIY was partly a sewing lesson (me teaching her how to sew) and the other part of showing her what we can do for others when we work together.

Currently, the supply of face masks are at a critical all-time low throughout the entire nation.  Even if you are a novice at sewing, this is a super easy project to do that even my 8-year old LOVED!

While handmade fabric face masks are NOT a substitution for N95 masks, in times of emergency, the CDC may allow handmade fabric masks to be used when critical shortages take place.  You can read more here from the CDC here on the issue of homemade masks on their website CDC dot gov.

Grab your FREE PDF download of the FACE MASK pattern and detailed instructions we created right here! Then, watch this video where we walk you through it all, including the child mask my daughter made. IMPORTANT PRINTING NOTE: Scale to 45% before you print, otherwise the PDF will be larger than normal and not the correct size for your patterns.

Who else is going to join us in making these?  We would love to hear how your project turned out! Please comment below.
